The Civil War Diary
1.Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
The project meets the standard 8.9.5. which is Analyze the significance of the States's Rights Doctrine, the Missouri Compromise (1820), the Wilmot Proviso (1846), the Compromise of 1850, Henry Clay's role in the Missouri Compromise and the Compromise of 1850, the Kansas-Nebraska Act (1854), the Dred Scott v. Sandford decision (1857), and the Lincoln-Douglas debates (1858).The project also meets the standard 8.9.2 which is discuss the abolition of slavery in early state constitutions. The project meets the standard because we had to make a diary from the view of someone going through these events. I show mastery because I show the journey of abolitionist going through all of these events. This project also meets the standard 8.9.2 because we had to show through the eyes of someone during this event and most of the events were caused by slavery. This is why the standard meets the standard 8.9.5 and 8.9.2.
2.Elaborate on at lest 1 skill and/or strength you feel you gained from completing this project.
One skill I feel that I gained from this project is that I am able to write from a first person view of a fictional character but real events. With this skill I could first person history realistic fiction. One strength I learned is to use real facts to write a fictional story. I also learned how to write a good first person point of view story which is something that I couldn't do before. These are the skills and strengths I feel I learned form doing this project or assignment.
3.Upon reflecting on your work/score, what is one are of work you could have done better on? How will improving in this are benefit future work/project?
Even though I got a prefect score I feel that I could have made the pictures I put on it more creative than it was. I could have also made the paragraph more detail in explaining what events had happened that day and gave accurate events. I could use this if I become a business man and need create a good poster I could use creativity to create a good poster to get people to buy it. I could also use it present a project in high school or college to get a good score. This is how I could had done better on this assignment even though I got a perfect score.
4.How will you you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real world (outside of the classroom, particularly in today's society)? Make connections between the content and your life.
I can apply the skills I learned from this assignment in the real world or in higher grades if I need to make a story about for high school or collage.This is useful because since I need to do a certain about of years of ELA I can use this to make sure I get good grades.I can also use this if I want to be an author for realistic fiction novels about real events but fictional character.I can also use to make a good essay for a good to show them that they should accepted me.This is how I can use the skills I learned from this assignment in the real world or in higher grades.
