1. Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
The assignment relates to the standard 5.4 which says students understand the political, religious, social, and economic institutions that evolved in the colonial era. The assignment meets standard because we had to make a brochure and it had to talk about political, religious, social, and economic institutions. I show mastery of this assignment because I got a 4 on it and I included political, religious, social, and economic institutions that evolved in the colonial era in the brochure. I also show understanding of this standard because I now what was political, religious, social, and economic institutions of that colony after reading about it. This is how the assignment meets the standard and how I show master of this assignment.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 skill and/or strength you feel you gained from completing this project. (coloring and or drawing are not skills to write about - elaborate on life skills you can take out of this project)
A skill that I feel that I elaborate from doing this assignment is the skill to make informational brochure showing facts about that time and place.
3. Upon reflecting on your work/score, what is ONE area of work you could have done better on? How will improving in this area benefit future work/projects? (coloring and or drawing are not skills to write about - research skills, time management, etc…)
One area of work that I feel that I could have improved on is adding more important facts that not so important ones. I will improve in this area of work by taking more time to make sure to add important facts in any type of writing assignments like a essay, autograph and etc.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real world (outside of the classroom, particularly in today’s society). Make connections between the content and your life.
I could apply what I learned from this assignment in the future because if I ever need to make a writing assignment that involves me talking about a time and or place.
